The Spencer Kids: Family Session

9.22.2010

I had so much fun the other day spending time with the Spencer kids during their portrait session.  Kids are always so much fun to photograph for me and I just love it that they want to play and be themselves.  For some reason it’s always harder to get grown ups to do that J But kids they’re just natural at it and  that’s what I love to capture.

Brianna:  Thank you for allowing me to spend time with you and your children.  They are such a wonderful blessing and I enjoyed every moment of it!

I absolutely, 100% adore this picture! It just doesn't get more real than this! :)

Erikka: Senior 2011

8.27.2010

Fun, Genuine, Smart, Most Likely To Suceed, these are just a few words that I would use to describe Erikka.  I had the pleasure of spending the evening with her and got some killer shots to capture that unique beautiful person she is before she tackles her last year of High School.  We had such a blast together and I am so excited for her next season in life!

Erikka: You have such a great passion and love for life and people.  It is so evident and shines through who you are.  It's what draws people to you and makes you such a fun person to be around.  Go out there and take the world by storm.  I know you are destined for great things!  Thanks so much for such a fun photo shoot!

Can I just say I am envious of her hair? I could never ever be able pull it off!  And she does it so well...

The Jespersens: Family

8.02.2010

Like I said before I was honored to have Melissa contact me to shoot her grandparents 70th Anniversary and I was excited to hear that they wanted more shots of their two beautiful girls; who I had the pleasure of photographing back in September.  So after the Anniversary party we found some space outside to take the girls and get a few shots.

Melissa picked out the cutest little outfits for them!

Probably one of my favorites.  And no, no one helped her.  She came up with this style all on her own ;)

The Webbs: Family

7.21.2010

What can I say? I just love this family and I think I was doubled over laughing during this session more than they were!  Andrea was one of my Youth leaders back in the day and it was so much fun to reconnect with her.  Andrea’s husband, Sam, is probably one the funniest people I’ve ever met, and then adding Andrea into the mix…completely hysterical!

Andrea and Sam, when I need a good laugh I will be sure to give you a call J.   Honestly though, thank you so much for letting me capture your wonderful family! You two are very blessed with your beautiful girls and you are doing a great job with them!

So here are some of my favs caught in between the laughter…

I loved it that Sam and his girls all wore converse!

Remember when I said this family is hilarious?  Exhibit A:

Breck: Senior 2010

1.06.2010

I honestly sat here a while trying to figure something witty or sentimental so say.  Then of course the thought came to me,  "Johanna," my thought said, " you know most people probably don't even read your blog anyway. They just come to see the photos."  That's when I decided I just need to let Breck's photos speak for themselves.

I just hope they tell you how beautiful she is inside and out.  That she has a heart to serve which makes her an incredible leader and that she will touch and change other people's lives just by being around them.  Because of her strength in knowing who she is and above all her love for Christ.

So photo's: speak...
